Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Manager in overseeing construction projects. The ideal candidate will handle critical duties like timely material deliveries, warehouse organization, material returns, and logistical tasks such as driving trucks and towing trailers. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction projects proceed without delays and within budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the scheduling and timely delivery of construction materials to project sites.
• Maintain and organize the construction warehouse, ensuring that materials and tools are properly stored and inventory levels are kept up to date.
• Handle the return of unused or defective materials to suppliers.
• Drive trucks and operate trailers for transporting construction materials and equipment to and from project sites.
• Pull permits required for construction projects, coordinating with local government offices and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Assist the Project Manager with daily administrative tasks and project documentation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project needs are met.
• Monitor project progress and report any issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed on-site and in the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in a construction environment or similar role.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience driving trucks and towing trailers.
• Knowledge of construction materials and warehouse management practices.
• Familiarity with the process of obtaining construction permits.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
