Hidden behind lumps of hills and acres of trees near the Kansas River is the small suburban city, Bonner Springs, KS. Like the name suggests, this city is filled with mineral springs and was even founded by the Kanza people for this very reason. After a while, the trading post garnered the name ‘Tiblow Settlement’ due to John McDanield’s friendship with the man. John McDaneild’s otherwise known as ‘Red John’ is the founder of the then-settlement and now ‘Bonner Springs, KS’.
